Wells Fargo has recently been involved in a lawsuit in which they were accused of using their employees’ 401(k) plans as investment money, and making profits off of their potential retirement. Examine your own 401(k) and look for red flags like mutual funds manufactured by your own company, or front-loaded mutual fund contracts. If you notice these, your employer may also be leveraging your retirement for their own gain.
