INTERMEDIATE LEVEL COURSE:
SWING TRADING WITH CONFIDENCE

My first 2 trading courses give you the basics of my methodology and provide the foundation for all of my more advanced techniques.

Now that you’ve been through those 2 courses, you’re ready to start learning the more advanced techniques.

In this course you’ll learn about 2 more “energies” we trade which were not covered in Courses 1 or 2:

  • Volume
  • Relative Strength.

If you’re eager to learn more high-level professional trading approaches, then this is the package for you.

This course includes:

  • More than TWICE the number of instructional videos of Foundations Course 1 or Course 2 (minus the chart set up videos).
  • 1 Full-Color Manual - approximately 100 pages of crystal clear explanations and full-color illustrations.

Day Trading Course

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL COURSE:
DAY TRADING THE INVISIBLE EDGE

If you’re eager to learn more high-level professional day trading approaches, then this is the package for you.

In day trading you need an “EDGE” over other traders. That “edge” is something you see, and others don’t – and that’s exactly what this course is designed to give you: an “Invisible Edge.”

In this course you will learn:

  • How to see support/resistance that others don’t.
  • How to see key turning points that others don’t.
  • How to use inter-market analysis for major league profits.
  • How to know where the big money is so you can trade with the big dogs rather than getting mauled by them.
  • How to use a super-powerful intra-day LEADING INDICATOR almost every amateur ignores.
  • How to choose the absolute PERFECT time interval for your day trading charts for any market.
  • Which “internal indicators” to use.

You’ll also get Advanced Trading Techniques:

  • Exactly how to trade 4 chart patterns you were told NOT to trade in Foundations 1 and 2.
  • The 2 most powerful techniques for trading GAPS (completely different than the gap trading techniques in my Swing Trading Course).
  • How to use VOLUME in your day trading (completely different than the volume techniques in my Swing Trading Course).
  • How to use a lagging indicator and leading indicator together for an amazingly powerful 1-2 combination that can revolutionize your trading over night. This one technique alone is worth 10x the investment of this course.

Hi Barry , I was looking at the course you offer and part 1&2 seem to be two aspects of the 5 energies you take of . Does that mean that these are part 1&2 of a larger overall course ?. Ps I like your approach thanks. Joe Holden

    Hi Joe,

Foundations Course 1 stands on it’s own as a trading method. However Foundations Course 2 expands on what you’ve learned in Course 1 for those who are more intermediate or advanced traders.

    Thanks for asking,

    Hi doctor,
Which ultra ETF do daytraders tend to trade. I was looking at SRS, DXD, SKF, TZA, TNA. But the one I like the most was SRS because of how much it moves per day.

    Patrick,

I don’t know if there are any favorites among day traders. I think you’re on the right track. Look at them yourself to see which ones move the best, and make sure you choose those with high volume.

hi Barry I am really enjoying your 5 day free mini course. Just done rubber bands! I know the basics of trading although am still pretty new (know about support, resistance, day v swing trading, basics of candlesticks etc.) – but haven’t started trading yet! I am keen to get a course with a stock SCREENER such as you have I think in part 3. I am confused about whether I should get ALL three parts… or if i can miss the first one. For an intelligent person with a psychology degree and willingness to study several hours per day would it be practical to think I could start to make money from trading within a few weeks? i am trying to get an idea of time frame…. weeks, months, years….?! Also if I invest $500 in your course and really apply myself, how long should it take me to make this money back? Also if I have a target to make say $150/week profit how much trading capital REALSTICALLY would I have to have if I was reasonably successful? Thank you. AR from Scotland!

    Hi Barry,
I’m very impressed with your course 1, your experience in this industry is very evident. I tried it for 3 days (1-2hrs/day) and your rules have so far prevented me from entering a trade too early (much less stress and MUCH tighter stops), and most impressively it has so far completely locked me out of losing trades but it must happen sooner or later surely!!. These are major areas for making progress and this would have taken me many months (yrs) to fix. So thanks for sharing your experience with us and I look forward to course 2.

Thank you for taking my trading to a profitable level. I can’t believe that you would just give away such valuable information.

After taking foundation courses 1&2 this is the best money i have ever spent on trading education . Ever time i go over the videos i pick up something new i overlooked the first time watching the videos. If new traders dont take the courses before trading they will loose more money on their first few trades than the price of the course. Education and discipline is the key to finding consistent winning trades in this business.

    Hi Dr. Burns,
I have watched your 5 day free course. Actually, I am on day three waiting for you to send day 4 and 5. I have been trading now for 1 year and have taken many courses and read many books. I have to say I am really pleased by how you explain the trading process. Some courses that I have taken in the past seem to make trading more complicated so they can justify their enormous fees. And when you are finished you are more scared and confused instead. Can’t wait to take your full course.

    Regards,

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately since those products have chosen not to support flash, it doesn’t work, but I’ll keep it in mind for future products.

    Barry

  35. Barry Burns Says:

    July 11th, 2011 at 11:36 am

    Hi Joe,

Yes, that can be confusing with the MACD because on the classic MACD indicator there is a part of the formula that is often called the “histogram” on charting platforms. On others it’s called the “diff” (for difference). That is what I don’t use.

However, the histogram is actually just a style of plotting – like lines, dots, etc. So I like to plot my MACD line as a histogram. You certainly dont’ have to, and it doesn’t
change the reading of the indicator. It’s just a stylistic issue.

If you have my Foundations Course #2, there is an entire section that shows you exactly how to setup your indicators on many of the most popular charting software programs, including NinjaTrader. Consult that file (you’ll find it in the Members Area of the web site where you downloaded all the course videos and manuals). A screen capture is included so you see the exact settings for NinjaTrader.

    Hi Barry,
I bought the custom indicator just about a month ago and your course 1 and 2. I only trade gold and eur and try to apply the conservative cherry picking approach. I found that it is difficult and have to wait a long time to have a setup that meet the rule. So I decide to try tick chart instead.

If my Lower time frame is 450 tick, what is your recommendation ticks on medium and long term time frame?

Thank you for taking time to answer my question.

    Siew, UK

    S

  37. Barry Burns Says:

    September 30th, 2011 at 9:17 am

    Hi Siew,

It is true that the Conservative Cherry Picking style won’t have as many trades as the Aggressive Cherry Picking or Scalping Styles. That’s because it is, by definition, a more conservative approach – waiting for more thing to line up in your favor and thus providing a higher probability setup. There’s an inverse relationship between high probability and trade frequency.

Using 450 tick chart you simply multiple by 3 to get your next higher time frame, and then multiply that one also by 3 to get the highest time frame. So you’d use 450 tick, 1350 tick and 4050 tick charts.

However that question is very clearly answered in the course and many examples and references are given to it, so I would highly recommend that you review the course another time or two to make sure that you’re not missing out on other important information in the trading methodology before you trade.

    August 3rd, 2012 at 2:14 pm

    Hi Dr. Burns,

I’m a retiring Army officer who became fascinated with the stock market years ago but more recently with continuing this passion as a trader. Because of my age (52), I recognize the need to “redeem some time” while cognizant that there are no shortcuts and I’ll be doing this the rest of my life perhaps. My current interest are equities at a swing pace but have always been fascinated by currencies because I grew up and have lived overseas more than half of my life. Not sure day trading is my gig however. I started studying you a bit while downrange in Iraq; because of circumstances, couldn’t use DVDs so I bought some training material from Tina Logan in hard copy. Really good stuff because she’s quite comprehensive and detail oriented, which was what I needed.

Question: What would you recommend to me from your course menu? Your teaching approach appeals to me but not sure which way to proceed from here? I appreciate your input.

    Warmest regards,

    Brian Marquardt

I purchased some courses from you a while back but suffered the loss of my expensive trading computer shortly thereafter. I’m not sure if the universe is trying to tell me something or not, but the loss of my computer was followed by several other major life events which have kept me away from trading. Well, I’m back and I’d like to recover the course work I paid for but I do not see any place on your site to do this. My understanding was that I owned the materials for life as opposed to a lease arrangement. Am I correct on this. Look forward to hearing from you.

  50. Barry Burns Says:

    November 17th, 2012 at 2:44 pm

    Hi Ken,

Thanks for writing and your kind words. I don’t teach options directly, other than how to use them to hedge your positions against catastrophic moves against your primary positions. However One of the biggest problems I find many options traders have is that while they may be familiar with some options strategies, they are weak in analyzing the underlying charts. Well, that’s a HUGE problem because you can’t make a good decision on which option strategy, expiration and strike price to trade without a crystal clear understanding of the underlying chart. That’s where my courses really help.

Hi Barry, I am an old customer and fan of your training……5 – 6 years ago I purchased your course 1 & 2. I fell very short on time and did not complete the courses due to a new job.
The job is doing great, I have found time available, and now I would like to re-take your two courses. I wish to kindly request you email me the downloads and a new password so that I can complete course 1&2, what I once started. I would like to trade again; however, not without learning from your courses.

    Sincerely,
    Bruce McLennan – 541 – 746-9890 home phone.

When you are starting out in the stock market, it is
best to invest in what you know. The more familiar you
are with a particular business or market niche, the better
you will be at knowing whether a certain investment
is likely to pay off. As you learn more, you can expand your investments.

Good day! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using
for this website? I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve
had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives
for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
